Prith has helped transform the company’s culture of innovation to do more long-term disruptive innovation. To drive long-term innovation, Prith has created programs such as the TECHCON conference that is held every year that brings all the technologists at Ansys once a year for a week to present and share their latest innovations and future directions. Prith has created several technology Centers of Excellence around Numerical Methods, AI/Machine Learning, and High-Performance Computing to drive more cross-business technical collaboration. He has initiated a CEO Innovation Awards program that recognizes the best Technical Innovation, the Best Product Innovation, and the best Solutions Innovation at Ansys every year. The steadfast leader has created a biweekly TECH TALK series that brings exciting technical talks from internal and external speakers on the latest technological innovations.

Prith’s role model is Steve Jobs, who led Apple through many disruptive innovations. Armed with this knowledge, he has taken the company towards great heights. Prith has been fortunate to have been part of innovations in the academic world for 20 years as a Professor, Chairman, and Dean at the University of Illinois and Northwestern University. He has been involved with innovation as an entrepreneur while founding two startup companies, AccelChip and Binachip. Finally, Prith has been driving innovation in large companies for the past 15 years as Director of HP Labs, Managing Director of Accenture Tech Labs, CTO of ABB, CTO of Schneider Electric, and CTO of Ansys. He has recently decided to write a book called INNOVATION FACTORY to assemble all these innovative ideas in academia, startups, and large companies to discuss how large companies can support long-term disruptive innovation.
